Colours changing and temperatures dropping – these scenic views are a great time for cozy long walks with hot cups of coffee – or everything pumpkin spiced? Even though the chilly temperature is not something to look forward to, October does have a lot to offer. From leaves changing colours to enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving feast, or secretly indulging in the Halloween candies – we are all about this excitement!

But remember, as you treat yourself to these indulgences, do not forget about your healthy smile. Make sure you brush and floss your teeth twice a day, drink plenty of water, and come in for a check-up to stay on top of your oral health.

As this is also the month of giving thanks – we are thankful to you, our patients, for choosing us, as your oral health provider.

Please Note: Our office will be closed on Monday October 14th for Thanksgiving.
If you should have a dental emergency while feasting on your Thanksgiving meal, please contact the dental emergency clinic at 416-485-7121.
Our office will also be closed at 6:00pm on Halloween to allow for our staff to get home before the ghosts and little goblins hit the streets. Be extra careful as you drive through your neighbourhood!

Halloween Tips for Healthy Teeth
 

 
Whether you have ghosts or goblins around the house or not, the lure of Halloween candy and treats will be around this month.

You've been told time and time again that candy causes tooth decay, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the occasional treat.

If you are going to indulge, there are some things you can do to limit the damage done to your teeth. With young ones around the house (or not), here are a few tips we can offer before the inevitable increase of candy consumption.

Enjoy a hearty bowl of chili with a healthy twist, perfect for fall. Here's a great base recipe to build on to according to your chili preferences. If you are looking for a little heat, you can add jalapenos, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Feel free to mix it up!
