What Is The Difference Between a Crown and Bridge?

If a tooth has been damaged or decayed to an extent where a filling will not suffice, a Crown is often needed to restore the tooth's shape, strength and structural function.

A Crown, as its name suggests, is a covering that is placed over the affected tooth. The tooth is prepared by removing any decayed area and shaping the tooth to be capped. The Cap is then cemented in place to protect the tooth for years to come. Crowns are also used to reinforce a tooth that has been badly cracked or broken, as well as to seal a tooth after root canal therapy.

Honey Grilled Shrimp

With the cold weather behind us you're probably ready to take a break from those heavy, hearty meals like stew and chili. It's time to get out the patio furniture and fire up the grill for your summer favorites.

This month we're keeping it light with honey grilled seafood. Feel free to get creative by picking up some fresh fruit or vegetables and making kabobs.
