It's August and summer is in full swing! It's time to kick back and soak in the sun with friends and family. If you're going to the cottage or checking out a food festival, the summertime magic will continue all month long. As you indulge in yummy treats, don't forget to floss and brush your teeth twice per day for two minutes to prevent tooth decay and cavities.
Let's not forget that August is Back-to-School month and time to prepare our children for another school year. One of the best ways to prepare your child is to book a regular check up appointment, so request an appointment or give us a call and we'll ensure that your child starts school with a bright and healthy smile.
Just a reminder, will be closed on Monday, September 02nd for the Labour Day. We will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, September 03rd at 8:00am. For any dental emergencies please contact The Dental Emergency Clinic on 1650 Yonge St. at 416-485-7121.

Dr. Jonathan Shainhouse
Dr. Jonathan Shainhouse has been creating and maintaining beautiful smiles for his patients since 1992. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University. He went on to complete his one-year advanced general practice residency at Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York before returning to practice to his hometown Toronto.

Dr. Peter Kim
Dr. Peter Kim obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario (UWO). During his time in dental school, he was the recipient of the American Dental Society Anaesthesia Award and the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency Award. He was also an executive member of the Dental Student Society and served as a co-chair of the Oral Health Total Health Chapter at UWO.

Dental Sealants
|
| |
|
A dental sealant is used to coat areas of a patient's teeth that are vulnerable or most susceptible to decay and cavities. It is usually white or clear and is placed on chewing surfaces, particularly molars and hard to reach crevasses, pits and grooves in your teeth. It can prevent up to 80% of cavities that form in the back molars, which is where you chew most of your food.
